A glimpse inside the Foundry.

A Montessori classroom is an unique environment. Students work with materials specially designed to expose the child to practical life, sensorial, language, mathematics, geography and music concepts.

What to look for, when choosing a primary environment for your child.

  1. Open Classroom.

No rows of desks, but rather a classroom filled with child-appropriate furniture grouped into learning areas.

2. Learning at your own pace.

Every child is given individual lessons enabling the teacher to take each one at their own pace.

3. Accessibility.

Materials prominently displayed and within reach of children and designed with the child in mind.

4. Intuitive materials.

Sensorial materials are at the heart of a Montessori education. We source ours from Neinhuis, NL

5. Socializing.

We believe that children learn best from each other.Mixed-age groupings in a classroom facilitate this behavior.

6. Learning by doing.

A practical or life-skills area that facilitates observation and practice based learning.

Parents, welcome.

We understand that choosing a primary school for your child is not an easy decision.

Knowing, that when your child finishes their education, the world and the opportunities that it offers will look very different from the ones available today.

From birth to age five, a child’s brain develops more rapidly than at any other time in life.

So it’s understandable that you want your child to have the right foundation, one that prepares them for a productive and fulfilling life.

The Montessori education allows children to create their own learning paths, building on student interests to create a community of knowledge.

It’s a practice that prioritizes developing emotional intelligence, resilience and the ability to adapt.

One that instills in them the value of curiosity, passion and courage. Traits that will forever be indispensable.

Hopefully, you’ve noticed that Montessori is more than just a rote step-by-step way of teaching. This educational approach has been highly successful, helping nurture some of the greatest thinkers of our time.

If you’d like to learn more or schedule a tour of our school, we’d be happy to organize it for you.

“Never give more to the child’s mind than you give to their hands.”

— Maria Montessori

There’s no doubt that the teaching materials in a Montessori classroom are unique. But the magic is not just in the materials themselves, it is in the experience and skills of a Montessori trained teacher who will gauge the appropriate time to introduce them to each child.
